This activity is a reading and comprehension exercise in which you will learn about landuse in the Upper Parramatta River Catchment.

Activity

Read the information sheet on Land use and the information sheet for your sub catchment.

Draw a pie or bar graph to show the various land uses in the Upper Parramatta River catchment and your school’s sub-catchment

What is the major land use in your sub catchment

In small groups brainstorm and produce mind maps of what students know of the environmental impacts of each land use type.
