Trustee Profiles

The current members of the Trust were appointed by the Governor on 30 June 2004 for a 4 year term expiring 30 September 2008. 

Bob Junor was appointed Chairman of the Trust in early 2003. Bob was appointed by the former Minister Land and Water Conservation. In 1981 Bob become in turn, Chief Soil Conservationist, Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner. Since his retirement from the public service Bob has consulted extensively in the fields of natural resources management, vegetation, flooding and salinity.
Brian Dooley , was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Trust in 2004 by the Minister for Natural Resources.
Cr Allan Ezzy was re-appointed on the nomination of Holroyd City Council. A long-time resident of Greystanes, Allan has been a Trustee since its establishment in 1989. He is the Mayor of Holroyd and is currently the Chairman of the NSW Floodplain Management Authorities.
Cr Mark Pigram was appointed on the nomination of Holroyd City Council in June 2004. He is a past and current director of WSROC as well as an ex-Mayor and Councillor on Holroyd City Council since 1991. He Chairman of the Western Sydney Alliance since 2000.
Cr David Bentham of Carlingford was appointed on the nomination of Baulkham Hills Shire Council in June 2004. David was elected to Baulkham Hills Council in March of 2004.
Cr John Dinnie of Carlingford was appointed on the nomination of Baulkham Hills Shire Council in June 2004. He was elected to Baulkham Hills Council in March of 2004.
Cr Paul Barber was appointed on the nomination of Parramatta City Council in 2004. He has lived and worked in the catchment for many years and has always displayed a keen interest in local issues.
Cr Maureen Walsh was appointed on the nomination of Parramatta City Council. Maureen was relected to Parramatta Council in 2004.
Cr Kathie Collins of Prospect was re-appointed on the nomination of Blacktown City Council after re-election in 2004. Kathie was nominated to the Trust previously by the former Minister for the Environment, but was first appointed to the Trust in 1991 as a nominee of Blacktown City Council. Kathie is a librarian at the University of Western Sydney and has been active in local affairs for some years.
Cr Barbara Gapps was appointed on the nomination of Blacktown City Council after re-election in 2004. She has been a member of the Trust since 2000. Barbara has worked in the social policy area of local government for some years and is currently employed by Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils.
Ms Lois Gray was nominated by the Minister for Infrastructure and Planning in 2004. Lois works as Manager Local Planning with the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources, having previously held a number of senior positions in the Department of Planning. She has qualifications in arts, education and planning. Lois played a key role in preparing and implementing the Parramatta regional environment plan.

Ms Pam Smith was nominated by the Minister for the Environment in 2001. Pam has academic qualifications in arts, education, law and public policy. She works as an organiser ands women's officer for the Independent Education Union. Pam was previously a member of Parramatta City Councill, the Bicentennial Park Trust. A long-time catchment resident, her interests are community activities, local history and environmental education.
