The program aims to assist Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people in Western Sydney/Illawarra to further their tertiary education, that will increase Aboriginal participation in managing NSW natural resources and develop stronger relationships with Aboriginal people in the Illawarra/Western Sydney areas.

The following agencies have formed a partnership to support the program

• Premiers Department
• Parramatta/Granville Sportsground Reserve Trust
• Sydney Catchment Authority
• Lake Illawarra AuthorityChipping Norton Lake Authority

The program will be officially launched by Hon John Aquilina, Minister for Land and Water Conservation on 18 February 2002.
