Summary
Seven residences in Hopkins Street were subject to
repeated flooding in the late 1980's and early 1990's, causing great
distress to the elderly residents. This project involved the Trust
subsidising the cost of raising the houses to above the 100-year
flood level and providing residents with an interest-free loan for
the remaining costs.
