The Trust’s On-site
Stormwater Detention Handbook was developed in conjunction with
Parramatta City Council, Baulkham Hills Shire Council, Blacktown
City Council and Holroyd City Council and was adopted by each of
the councils in November 1991. This Handbook spells out the OSD
policy and provides guidance for OSD designers, property owners
and others involved with development. Although primarily concerned
with the Upper Parramatta River Catchment, the Handbook also shows
how the procedure on which the policy is based can be adapted to
provide approximate parameters in other locations.
The OSD Handbook has been made available for public download in
Adobe Acrobat Format. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Viewer
installed click here to
download it. Also available are the OSD calculation spreadsheets
and a brochure explaining On-site Stormwater Dentention.
The latest version of the Handbook is
the 4th Edition, which is dated December 2005. However
during the transition between handbooks councils may prefer that
you use the 3rd Edition. Please confirm with council as to which
version is appropriate for your development.

The OSD Handbook has been divided up into smaller sections to allow

for those with the capacity to download large documents.)
