In 1998 a Green
Corridors Vegetation Management Strategy was completed for the
upper Parramatta River catchment. This strategy provided an overview
of the state of the catchment vegetation, to biodiviersty threats
and planning and on-ground measures needed to protect and enhance
biodivisity for the future.
In 2002 the Strategy was reviewed looking at progress to complete
recommended actions. In addition since 1999 the Trust has committed
$200,000 each year towards the implementation of the of high priority
projects listed in the strategy. These funds were matched by councils
with a total investment by 2002 of $1.2 million.
