Summary
Holroyd City Council constructed a small wetland on
Pendle Hill Creek at Civic Park, just upstream of the raliway line.
The creek was widened and deepened, and a small island created as
a wildlife refuge. The edges were planted with reeds and the surrounding
area was landscaped including a bridge built over the wetland. A
floating boom was installed at the upstream end to trap litter.
