Summary
In 1998/99 a Stormwater Management Plan was developed
for the Upper Parramatta River catchment and adopted by the Trust,
Blacktown, Baulkham Hills Shire, Holroyd, and Parramatta Councils,
Sydney Water and the Road and Traffic Authority.
In 2002 the plan was revised by the Catchment Stormwater
Taskforce with assistance of consultants Brian Elton & Associates
and Sinclair Knight Merz to include new strategies based on new
technologies that have come about since 1999.
The plan aims to improve water quality in catchment
streams and water bodies, by reducing the impacts of stormwater
pollution. The plan has a great description of the catchment and
very useful information about land use and the impacts of urban
development on water quality.
