Western Sydney Water Festival

Since 2000, the Trust, along with other western Sydney councils and State Government organisations, participate in the Western Sydney Water Festival during Water Week during October in Central Gardens at Merrylands. The festival is held in conjunction with Holroyd City Council's 'Carnivale - a multicultural celebration'.

11.30am - 3.30pm
Sunday 19 October 2003
Central Gardens, Merrylands
Free shuttle bus from Merrylands Train station evey 30 mins

The water festival provides information on what is being done and can be done to improve water quality. The information is targeted at people from non-English speaking communities.

  • Australian Native Wildlife Show
  • Face painting
  • Animal Farm
  • Flag raising ceremony
  • Colouring in competition
  • Tresaure Hunts
  • Leaf sweeping competition
  • Stormwater game
  • Water images to paint on a canvas
